Today Is Dance Wednesday….Let’s Dance

Research shows that like any other physical activity dancing releases a neurotransmitter, known as endorphins (the happy hormones)…Endorphins reduce stress and cause our bodies to feel calm, happy and optimistic. The best part about this method of stress relief is, you don’t need to know how to dance. Some other benefits of Dancing are as follows;

Dancing helps to increase physical and mental health.

Dancing lifts moods and eases anxiety.

Dancing increases aerobic power and strength.

Dancing builds social bonds.

On this Wednesday after Groundhog Day (by the way Punxsutawney Phil predicts six more weeks of winter), if you’re feeling the crunch of mid week tasks – Stop! Wait a minute! Take some time to dance! Turn on your favorite playlist and without thought just dance. Take a full 5/10 minutes to lose yourself in the world of music, dance and cardio.

Of course taking a dance break midday will go over better if you’re working from home. Unless you work in an office environment where dancing is allowed, in order to get your creative juices flowing. If that’s the case then have at it!.
