Transforming minds through the power of written and spoken words…….
As you progress, this week over and through the Monday Matters, Tasty Tuesday, Winning Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, etc. etc., try a bit of E-valuating. Stopping to evaluate life’s trials and triumphs is important especially because it helps to give a better perspective on where you are and where it is you’re needing to go. The art of E-valuating is both simple and important for the sake of progress and yes, purpose. My challenge to you this week involves one of my favorite topics “Visualizing” (E-valuating=Envision & Envisage) …
Today you might envision a distant goal that you have not begun to work toward. In the future, as you plan out the details on how to reach your goals, you might envisage how you’re going to do it with the time and resources you have available. Both Envision and Envisage mean to visualize, but they differ slightly in connotation. To envisage is to contemplate or consider something, usually something real, in a certain way, or to predict a particular set of circumstances based on evidence or strong belief. Envisaging often relates to planning real-world projects.
When you Envision something, it’s usually more hypothetical, imaginary, or removed from reality. The difference is subtle, but think of it this way: Envisaging usually involves something real, while envisioning involves mostly imaginary things. So, whether your current goal(s) is at the stage of Envisioning or Envisaging, take time to jot down your thought process. Remember to pin your thoughts (in writing/image) to your vision board. Take that mental picture (thoughts) daily and inject Envisioning or Envisaging (whatever stage you’re currently) and watch them manifest over time. I am excited to see/hear from you on some of your visualization techniques, be sure to share them in the comments or send me a personal message. Let’s Talk #janenotdoe Proverbs 23:7: “ As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
